Mission Statement

The mission of PBCS is to provide comprehensive, cost-effective, quality medical/nursing and residential service to individuals with intellectual/develpomental disabilities in its communities; focusing on individual centeredness in order to promote personal/spiritual growth, optimum level of health, independence and well-being.

PBCS does not only provide community housing for individuals but is committed to creating an environment that fosters love, individual's ability to make personal choices and preferences, understanding, optimum level of quality care regardless of health issues. PBCS believes that:

  1. All persons regardless of their medical condition have the right to services that community provides; including the right to choose their own services and providers.
  2. Adults with medical fragile needs and developmental disabilities have the right to choose where they live, who they live with, where they work, who assists them and make decisions about their future plans.

Please call and ask for a vacancy and schedule a tour of the ALUs. 301-220-0628 ext 207 and talk to the Program Director.
